So sense I started my birth control almost 3 weeks ago I've been spotting. It gets a little heavy then light again. Every single thing I've read says this,
" You should have a little less discharge each day, lightening in color. By two to four days after you've given birth, the lochia will be more watery and pinkish. By about ten days after the birth, you should have only a small amount of white or yellow-white discharge. At this point, the lochia is mostly white blood cells and cells from the lining of the uterus.
The lochia will taper off before it stops in another two to four weeks, though a small number of women continue to have scant lochia or intermittent spotting for a few more weeks."
But Honestly y'all HOW many mothers actually have that happen? I've read stories and talked to women who bled for 8 straight weeks HEAVY bleeding, I've read mother bleeding up to 12 weeks, spotting off and on. So why do they go by this? I didn't see that whole "White/Yellow" stuff for at least five weeks then I started to bleed heavy after it (My husband said it was my period because of how I was emotionally and all that he said I was a TOTAL PMSing BI*CH!" lol) and then after that I started my Birth control, (Combination pills) and I've had severe stress the last three weeks, and I haven't been eating correctly lol just not really taking care of myself. But I've been spotting ever sense, off and on. I Hardly even take my prenatal because they make me feel sick and my blood levels are at 9.4 for red blood count. I've been told that's "dangerous" and the WIC office seems to think I'm going down on my red count but I swear when I was tested last month it was at 9 not 9.9 like they say lol because she wouldn't have been so worried if it was at 9.9.
I've gone to my midwife and she checked the outside and said I look great, I can resume sex, and tampons. But never checked internally (Which I'm not sure how important that would be lol) she knows I"m still spotting. I went to Urgent Care because it picked up a tad bit with clots. (Which I'm getting used to seeing little clots or fleshy looking things) I told the doctor everything, he took a pee test and he said it's perfect. It's exactly what he expected to see. Some blood, some white blood cells. (I'm assuming it's from the spotting) he also said that I'm probably one of the unlucky ones who will bleed for weeks. He says it'll probably just STOP one day. He told me as long as I'm not going through a over night maxi pad every hour and SOAKING it and as long as I'm not going through a super tampon every hour I'm fine. I told him I can wear pads for a good 8 hours without even soaking them and he said "that's what I call spotting" but it doesn't help me out with my questions. Everyone says I can resume sex and resume tampons but I'm still hesitant. I guess I worry to much about my body (It comes with having Internal OCD meaning I worry about sickness and disease with my body)
It's been about four months sense my husband and I have been intimate. It sucks. I feel like a horrible wife for that. :( But my husband being the amazing man he is he's totally okay with it and hasn't stepped out or anything. :) He's totally willing to wait till I feel confident which I'm hoping is soon ha ha. I just wanna be normal!
When it comes to sweet Annibelle, She's doing great. Although WIC appointments they say she's under weight, but her pediatrician says she's perfect and measuring perfect for everything. Which is awesome, she's got another appointment this Monday and we'll see how she's doing. I think she's getting her shots this Monday :( I'm not looking forward to that. Actually scares me a lot! Luckily my husband is here to help me when I have a total freak out if she gets sick from the shots.
Her eating is picking up. We had a few days where she ate 4.5 to 5oz every four hours or so even through the night. (Right now she's sleeping but grunting and moving around holding her hands and just looking adorable lol I'm waiting for her to wake up and SCREAM wanting a diaper change or something lol ) But lately she's been eating like 3 to 4x a day (From 8am to 12am) and she's downing 4.5 to 5.5 oz every single time. Goes through a similac can in a week or so and that's 12.4fl oz of powder it makes 90fl oz of formula so on any given day she's drinking 12.8fl oz a day. I think we should up it a bit lol I dunno she seems to be totally content and happy. Even though she keeps waking up haha. I think it's my music that's irritating her. But she's smiling and laughing too so I think she's okay. She's a very smart baby. Watches the TV from her swing when it's on lol can roll a bit, can stand for longer then thirty seconds, and hold her head up for over a minute without any help. She's said Mom and Momma a few times, she says NO, she says more (She said that to me today and I was like, Baby girl did you just say more and she just gave me a HUGE smile hehe) but when she speaks it's always so FAST you get a glimpse of it and you are in such disbelief that it's like WTH lol Shes way advanced lol (She just needed a good burp and now her toy is working hehe her swing has a little mirror in it and the animals move at the top with music she loves it)
Anyways wanted to give a 2 month postpartum update haha. Complain a bit about the whole spotting nonsense that seems to go unanswered and I know I"m not the only one. Blah. it's so difficult. I wanna be NORMAL again haha.
Anyways, Share, Like and subscribe to me on YouTube and on here :) Follow me :) I'm the type of girl I'm not afraid to put it all out there and speak my mind!
Oh before I post this, what are y'alls views on shots? I'm okay with the TDAP, MMR and Polio stuff. But the others I'm iffy. I'll do a whole blog about shots soon, but my husband wants her to get the hep shots too. I know if she dosen't get the whole (I just got this from a website this is for before preschool)
| Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis | 5 doses* |
| Polio | 4 doses* |
| Measles | 2 doses* |
| Mumps | 2 doses* |
| Rubella | 1 dose* |
| Haemophilus Influenzae type B (Hib) | 4 doses* |
| Hepatitis B (Hep B) | 3 doses* |
| Varicella (chickenpox) | 2 doses* |
She wont be able to go into school, but seriously? (I know chickenpox is almost DEAD as a live active virus that you can just bring your child to and have them get it, I got mine at 12 years old twice. But seriously, the shot?) I can see 5 shots there being needed. I don't know why they don't just group it together like the TDAP. But hell she'll get the MMR and Tdap and polio shot, but the whole HEP and HIB and Chicken pox shot... Why? What is the HIB? Anyone know? lol
Have a great day y'all I love ya!
